Neck through construction has been part of the Spector story from the very beginning. Emerging in the 1970s during the height of the boutique bass era, this design approach helped define the sound and feel of modern basses. With the Icon NS Neck Through series, we’re carrying that tradition forward in a new line built for today’s player.

Neck Through Construction:
Offering players greater sustain, enhanced resonance, and a more connected feel from the first fret to the last, neck through construction brings the final piece of the Spector formula to the Icon line.

Classic Spector Design & Craftsmanship:
Designed in Woodstock, NY, the Icon NS Neck Through models bring together the details that make a Spector unmistakable: our fully curved body shape, custom shop neck carve, and signature crown inlays. Each bass features alder body wings paired with a 3-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, a classic tonewood combination that sits perfectly in any gig.

Custom Shop Inspired Aesthetics:
Visually, the Icon NS Neck Through series draws inspiration from our custom builds. Each model is topped with highly figured quilted maple and finished in one of four gloss stain options: Black Stain, Haunted Moss, Purple Cherry, and Black and Blue. Gold hardware completes the look, including a fully intonating locking bridge, high-precision tuners, polished brass nut, and signature Spector control knobs.

Aguilar Electronics Package:
At the heart of each Icon NS Neck Through is a custom-voiced Aguilar electronics package, pairing Aguilar DCB pickups with an Aguilar OBP-2 preamp. This combination delivers deep, punchy lows, articulate mids, and crystal-clear highs, giving players a dynamic and musical voice that sits confidently in any mix. The 4-string models feature a Reverse P/J pickup configuration, while the 5-string models are equipped with dual soapbar pickups.
