This Grand Concert boasts back, sides and top of solid Select-grade Hawaiian koa, which combine with scalloped V-Class interior bracing to produce a rich, sparkling midrange voice with exceptional articulation and open-string resonance. Koa's properties also give it a low-end character that will bloom with greater warmth and depth as the wood matures. Fingerstyle players in particular will appreciate the 12-fret configuration, which offers reduced string tension for a slinky, responsive feel. This model's visual details accent koa's natural beauty, including rosewood body binding with maple/black/maple edge trim, a single-ring rosette in rosewood and paua, a stained sycamore pickguard, legacy limited-edition fretboard inlays in paua, and a full-body shaded edgeburst finish.
