Ludwig Legacy Mahogany 3-Piece Drum Set - Vintage Black Oyster
When we were designing this kit, we wanted to really capture the classic Ludwig sound. And we got it. The 3-ply Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany shells with solid 1/4" thick maple reinforcement rings utilizes a tone with rich sonic warmth that only Ludwig can produce. We had each drum finished with the white reso-coat interior. Both toms have the baseball bat mufflers built into them, while the bass drum comes stock with T-Rods; making it as true to the classic drums as possible. We also opted to have the toms fitted with Coated Ambassador heads in order to really bring out the tone of the mahogany shells. To cap it off, there isn't a finish that screams Ludwig like Vintage Black Oyster does. This kit is perfect for the drummer looking to capture the sounds of yesterday with the look, durability, and feel of today.
