The standard from which all other DW snare drums are measured, the Collector’s Series Maple is crafted from only the finest hand-selected North American Maple and customized in any California Custom Shop finish and drum hardware color option. The X-Shell Snare features an 8-ply shell designed to give you the lowest possible sound that you would expect from an 8" deep snare drum. The subtlety of the Black Mirra lacquered finish really sticks out and we had it topped off with Gold Hardware and a center Gold Leaflet to really make this drum stick out. Finally, we had the wood whisperer himself, John Good, sign the inside of the shell for us making this snare drum a "must have" for any serious DW collector.
