Exceptional instrument that lives up to the hype of the Suhr reputation. Finish is stunning, the pictures don't quite do it justice. Roasted maple is an excellent neck material, if you have tried one before you won't be dissapointed, it's very easy to glide around the fretboard. As far as the tones go, it's really quite unique to other guitars I have tried. At ten on the volume, the single coils have a ton of snap but are also extremely warm and full. When you dial back to around 7, you start to enter the classic bell-like, quacky tones you would expect in a standard strat. These tones are really quite something with a treble booster. The bridge humbucker feels pretty hot but still maintains a lot of good dynamics, and the ability to split it with the tone knob is an appreciated addition to this model. To my ears it seems to split automatically in the bridge/middle position which is also convenient, but I could be mistaken? Also worth noting you won't deal with any 60 cycle hum in the singles. Tremolo feels great and has the expected range of this type of bridge. It flutters really well, better than my floyd rose equipped guitars even. It seemed to come with standard/medium action, I was able to lower it about 1/4 turn on the saddles with no added buzzing and intonation held strong. Really strong fret work, the SS frets are polished to a mirror shine. Not sure what else to say, it's clear every minor detail in this guitar was scrutinized inside and out.
