Standard N Program Lessons

Our standard program is a model that has educated musicians for generations; weekly lessons. This method is the most conducive to learning and also happens to be the most cost effective. Students reserve a time on a weekly basis and attend lessons during our 45 week school year.

Who are these lessons for?

  • students who want to learn as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • students who can attend lessons at a regular time each week
  • students looking to study with the same teacher at every lesson

Tutoring and Flex Scheduling

LLH also has flexible scheduling available for those students and families who don't find the traditional weekly lesson track to be a good fit. Through either our app or our website, students are able to look at openings in teachers' schedules and find dates and times that will work.

Who are these lessons for?

  • busy families with schedules that vary
  • younger students who need occasional help with their in-school programs
  • adults who want some training, but cannot commit to a regular weekly schedule
  • students who want to learn a specific skill

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the most commonly asked questions about the Little Lesson House. If you don't see an answer to a question that you are looking for, please feel free to call or email the Little Lesson House using the information located in our contact section.

Answer

Parking for LLH and N Stuff Music includes on-street parking on Freeport Road and surrounding streets, as well as a parking lot behind the Little Lesson House.

Answer

Payment options via cash, check, or credit card include:

N Program Students paying with cash or check are required to make a deposit equivalent to the price of two lessons when registering. Cash and check students will be required to keep these funds as a minimum balance on their LLH account, eventually paying for their final two lessons at LLH.

Answer

Students may enroll at any time.

Answer

***Please note, our performance and recital program is currently on hold during the construction of our new venue, scheduled to open summer 2019***

N Program Students will have the option of performing in up to two scheduled recitals and numerous informal performances per 4-month period. (January-April, May-August, September-December)

Monthly or Tutoring/Flex students do not have access to scheduled recitals but may be eligible to perform in informal performance opportunities with approval from both their instructor and the LLH director.

Answer

LLH teachers may provide up to two makeup lessons per 4 month session, provided at least 24-hours notice is provided. (January-April, May-August, September-December)

We ask that you please take note that when a student misses a lesson, the instructor needs to give twice as much of his/her time; once during the gap in his/her schedule that the missed lessons causes, and once for the makeup lesson.

Answer

We will do everything we can to put you or your child with the appropriate instructor. However, sometimes the student-instructor dynamic does not work out between two individuals for whatever reason. This is no one's fault and is something that every instructor is aware of.

Any issues with the "fit" of student and instructor should be brought to our director so that he may make suggestions towards resolving the issue, or working with a different instructor.

We are aware that this can be an awkward conversation and no one wants to hurt someone else's feelings, particularly an instructor who you have worked with one-on-one over a period of time. However, we ask that you please feel comfortable bringing this up with our director, who has counseled students in this area countless times and will look to put you at ease quickly.

Answer

Terms regarding withdrawal from LLH:

We expect our students to provide 2 weeks notice of program withdrawal or break from the program, via email to [email protected] Other than that, you may withdraw at any time.
