The Ukulele is quickly becoming one of the most popular instruments today for people eager to learn music or learn a new instrument. At N Stuff Music we have one of the widest selections of ukuleles in the region, ranging from affordable ones for beginners all the way to ukuleles made with great tone woods and added electronics for amplification.

As a premier dealer of the ukulele we also take upon carrying a wide range of ukulele strings to select from so that you can have the ideal set of strings to make your ukulele sound its best.

There are a few important things to keep in mind when shopping for ukulele strings. First, you want to be sure what style of ukulele you play (soprano, concert, tenor, baritone, etc.) and that you are looking for the type of strings that correspond to that ukulele. Tenor ukulele strings will not work for a soprano ukulele and so forth so make sure that the type of strings you are looking for are for the style of ukulele you have.

Ukulele strings are made from a selection of different materials each with different benefits to them. Aquila’s ukulele strings are made from a material called Nylgut which absorb less moisture than typical nylon strings and are also made to reliably stay in tune. Martin & Co utilizes fluorocarbon for their strings which provides a consistently true tone as well as holds intonation very well. D’addario in combination with ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro have created the D’addario EJ65T Pro-Arte Custom tenor ukulele strings. These strings are an all-nylon set that produce a wonderfully rounded sound and are built here in the U.S. with the rest of D’addario’s renowned strings. The Dunlop DUY Clear Nylon Ukulele strings are made with monofilament for improved flexibility, tuning, and longevity.

The different types of ukuleles make it a little more difficult to be sure that you are selecting the right strings, but our sales staff here at N Stuff Music will eagerly guide you in the right direction to select from the sets of strings available for your ukulele. For beginning ukulele players we at N Stuff Music have great teachers in our music lessons department who have played and studied the guitar and ukulele and have developed many musicians wanting to learn the ukulele into players capable of learning all types of ukulele music with fluent knowledge of chords, strum patterns, and the tools to continue to develop musically.
