Retail Price: $1,200.00
 N'Stuff Price: $1,079.00
Quantity:

Fulltone invested 11 months and $275,000 worth of tooling, sweating and has high expectations for the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo. It actually turned out better than Fulltone had imagined, but they can only make about 5 TTE's per day (x 4 day work-week) making it sometimes hard to find them in stock. The Tube Tape Echo is hugely impressive ! Consider the TTE for your next echo FX.

Why a Tape Echo you ask? Because no pedal or rackmount, analog or digital delay can reproduce the warm, natural tones of a tape delay. If you have ever played a healthy Echoplex then you know what we are talking about.

Is it noisy or unreliable? Older tape delays had a history of being unreliable and noisy. However, the Fulltone TTE is dead quiet. Fulltone completely reworked the electronics, the tape path, and the tape cartridge itself. Fulltone is famous for for overdesigning and overbuilding their high quality effects. The Tube Tape Echo will produce less noise that most delay pedals.

How much delay time? The Full Tone TTE can produce anything from a quick slapback echo to over two full seconds of delay. Featuring a dual speed toggle switch, the user can choose between his speed and low speed operation.

Is the Fulltone better than the Vintage Tape Delays?
The AC motors found in vintage tape delays were inefficient and noisy. Full Tone used servo-controlled hi-torque DC motors. The result was a quieter and more stable motors that are 1/4 the size.

The TTE uses 2 x 12AX7 tubes (for the Record and Playback sections) with 200 volts DC and supply the filaments with 12 volts DC to reduce the hum further. The erase/ Bias section function uses one Electro Harmonix 12AT7.

Handwired audio path, and world-famous Fulltone Made-in-USA Craftsmanship. No PCB-mounted tubes or jacks in the TTE.

Stereo outs and three modes.

Mode #1: Guitar/Echo on the Left---->Guitar/Echo on the Right
Mode #2: Guitar/Echo Left---> Echo on the right.
Mode #3: Guitar on the left----> Echo on the right amp.

Better Tape Heads. The Tube Tape Echo has proprietary (custom-made) Erase, Record, and Playback heads that not only have better frequency response than the oldies, but are designed to last well into your retirement.
